SoftPro® Integrates New Deluxe Payment Exchange for Enhanced Transaction Solutions

Share

SoftPro has recently launched a new integration with the Deluxe Payment Exchange eCheck solution, bringing exciting innovations to small businesses in the closing and title industry. This integration, available in SoftPro Select, promises to enhance payment efficiency and security, allowing users to send escrow payments seamlessly.

Business owners are likely aware that the challenges associated with traditional payment methods can be significant. Delays caused by overnight paper checks not only affect cash flow but can also introduce complications in the closing process. SoftPro’s new eCheck integration directly addresses these issues, providing an all-digital solution that makes disbursement faster and more reliable.

Patrick Hempen, Chief Customer Officer at SoftPro, expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating, “SoftPro is particularly pleased to offer this new, secure payment integration with Deluxe to our customers, providing even more flexibility and convenience in the disbursement of settlement funds.” This shift not only enhances user experience but positions SoftPro as a forward-thinking leader in the closing software market.

The integration allows SoftPro Select users to utilize the Deluxe Payment Exchange to send either eChecks or utilize Deluxe’s Print+Mail services without leaving the SoftPro environment. The eCheck option replaces the cumbersome paper-check system, minimizing the risks associated with delays and errors often tied to traditional payments. The Print+Mail service further streamlines operations by printing checks on high-security stock, packaging them, and mailing them via USPS First-Class mail.

John Rubinetti, President of B2B Payments at Deluxe, highlighted the broader implications of this change: “Integrating Deluxe Payment Exchange into SoftPro, who is a leading title production management software provider, is a significant step toward our goal of transforming payment processing in the real estate industry.” He emphasized that this development not only accelerates transactions but also enhances the security of payments, making residential closings more efficient.

The eCheck function allows a secure digital representation of a paper check to be stored on a Deluxe server, sent via email to the payee. The recipient can download and print the check from any printer, ensuring that payments can be processed just like traditional checks. Moreover, payees have the option to deposit payments via ACH, Debit Card, or even PayPal, offering a range of flexibility that modern consumers expect.

A case in point is Near North Title Group, which has noted tangible efficiencies since adopting Deluxe eChecks. Voula Giafis, the Escrow President of the group, stated, “We have been using Deluxe e-checks to deliver checks to our customers for the past 2 years. The API integration with Deluxe and SoftPro has provided us with additional efficiencies, security, and accuracy within the product.”

Additionally, Alex Grundhoffer, COO of Near North Title Group, remarked that the integration aligns with their goal of delivering secure and efficient solutions for customers and associates. This illustrates not only the operational benefits but also strengthens the trust and relationship businesses can build with clients.

As appealing as this new integration is, small business owners should also consider potential challenges. Transitioning to a digital payments system may require staff training and adjustment in workflow processes. Furthermore, reliance on technology brings an element of risk, including data security concerns and the need for reliable internet access. However, the benefits of speed, reduced costs, and improved cash flow can far outweigh these challenges for many businesses.

SoftPro’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction is backed by years of accolades, including recognition from the American Business Awards since 2007 for exceptional service and product development. This integration with Deluxe not only positions SoftPro for future growth but also offers small businesses a modernized approach to payment processing.
