Intel Unveils AI-Powered PCs with All-Day Battery Life at MWC 2025

Share

At the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Intel is reshaping how small businesses can operate with the introduction of a new range of AI-powered personal computers. The showcase features lightweight devices that promise all-day battery life, allowing business owners to maximize productivity without being tethered to a wall socket.

What does this mean for small businesses? As the workforce becomes increasingly mobile, Intel’s AI PCs are designed to enhance flexibility and efficiency in various tasks such as productivity, creativity, gaming, and cybersecurity. Craig Raymond, an AI PC demo expert, presented the innovation, highlighting how multiple AI PCs can operate seamlessly in various environments.

The AI PCs demonstrated are equipped with advanced technology, including a CPU, GPU, and NPU, allowing them to handle AI tasks locally. This efficiency can be a game-changer for small businesses that depend on speed and performance but may lack the extensive IT infrastructure of larger companies. The showcase featured products from nine notable partners, including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Monster, and Samsung, all powered by either the Intel® Core™ Ultra (Series 1) or (Series 2).

One of the standout devices from the event was the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, which features dual OLED screens. Such innovations not only increase productivity but also cater to a variety of application needs, from design work to data analytics and beyond. Many small business owners may find that these versatile tools enable them to work effectively across different scenarios, whether at home, in a co-working space, or on the road.

Intel’s commitment to enhancing mobile connectivity through AI technology could alleviate some common small business challenges. Tasks that traditionally required extensive hardware capability now can be managed on these lightweight computers. This shift allows firms to operate leaner, reducing overhead costs associated with maintaining complex IT systems.

However, it’s essential for small business owners to weigh potential challenges. While the promise of all-day battery life is appealing, the practical endurance of these devices under heavy workloads remains to be seen. Additionally, as with any new technology, the learning curve and integration into existing business operations may require additional training or adjustments. Budget constraints might also be a consideration when looking to upgrade to such advanced systems, especially for businesses operating on tight margins.

The move toward AI PCs aligns with the ongoing digital transformation small businesses face today. A more efficient computing experience can help owners not only manage daily tasks but also stay competitive in a rapidly evolving marketplace. By adopting these innovations, small firms can unlock new possibilities for remote work, customer engagement, and enhanced data analysis.

Intel’s showcase serves as a reminder that technology is increasingly accessible, even for small businesses that may feel overwhelmed by its pace. As these powerful tools become available, they represent an opportunity to level the playing field and allow small business owners to operate with enhanced agility and effectiveness.
