Lenovo Asset Recovery Services Enhances Sustainability for Save The Children

As part of this collaboration, Save the Children Spain leveraged Lenovo’s Asset Recovery Services (ARS) to manage the disposal of outdated devices securely. This service enables the charity to recycle or reuse equipment, ensuring compliance with sensitive information handling. In total, Save the Children recovered $7,000 in value from outdated technology, which was reinvested into new hardware. This not only highlights effective resource management but also illustrates the potential benefits for small businesses looking to refresh their technology while staying financially prudent.

Additionally, Save the Children opted for Lenovo’s CO2 Offset Services, which helps neutralize the carbon footprint of new hardware throughout its lifecycle—from production to energy consumption. Such services reflect a commitment to environmentally responsible practices and can serve as a model for small businesses interested in reducing their environmental impact.

Through this partnership, Save the Children upgraded to 200 Lenovo ThinkPad E16 laptops to support its frontline workers. These laptops provide the necessary performance for staff engaged in critical missions. To enhance support further, the organization implemented Lenovo’s Premier Support Plus, offering direct access to expert technicians and on-site assistance by the next business day. This ensures that operational interruptions are minimized, allowing employees to focus on their core mission rather than technical difficulties.

A spokesperson from Save the Children noted, “With Lenovo Premier Support Plus, we were able to provide our teams with always-on access to the digital resources they need.” This adaptive support model could serve as an example for small business owners, showcasing the importance of choosing technology partners who prioritize operational efficiency and effective customer support.

However, as appealing as these technological advancements may be, small businesses should consider potential challenges.
